Welcome to Dance Called America!

For those of you who are new to the scene, Runrig is a folk-rock band from Scotland, who have been making music for nearly three decades. I came to know them some years back when a special friend of mine sent me a copy of "the Greatest Flame." I fell in love instantly. I feared, as most did, that when Donnie Munro left the band, they would fall apart, but after yet another successful summer tour of Scotland, England, Denmark, Germany and the Faroe Islands, I can tell you that they are alive and well.

Runrig tour in both the summer and the winter, giving the European fans a lot to be happy about! I get at least one e-mail a week from fans in the U.S. and Canada asking me if Runrig ever come to this side of the Mighty Atlantic, and I'm disappointed to say that they do not. But that doesn't mean that this won't someday change! If you'd like to see them in North America, please let them know by writing to them at: band@runrig.co.uk.
